The St Helen's Archive collection resides online here where you can find the jerseys, caps, photographs and many other artefacts, all grouped into categories.  There are letters, watches, images, recordings, trophies, flags and myriad other fascinating artefacts. Wales cap from 1929-1930 season. Owner unknown. Swansea had five players in the Welsh teams of 1930: Dai Parker, Dai Thomas, Howie Jones, Guy Morgan and Claude Davey.

Caps

Argentina jersey of flanker Carlos Neyra from the Argentinian rugby tour of Wales and England in 1976. Argentina played East Wales, Cardiff, Aberavon, North and Midlands (England), West Wales and a Wales XV on the tour. They lost the West Wales match 14 - 12 and the match against the Wales XV by 20 -19. Swansea's Trevor Evans, Phil Llewellyn, David Richards and Geoff Wheel played in the West wales side. Trevor Evans, Geoff Wheel and Barry Clegg played in the Wales XV which was an uncapped match for Wales.

Jerseys

The highlight of the season featured a game against the fourth touring South African team on 15 December 1951. Although Swansea were defeated 11-3 in front of a near 40,000 crowd, the score was level at 3-3 until 7 minutes from time. Chum Ochse wriggled through a tackle to score in the corner for South Africa which Okey Geffen converted, adding a massive penalty from half way right on the final whistle.

The Swansea RFC first fifteen of the 1983-1984 season. P: 51, W: 32, D: 0, L: 19, Pts for: 1229, ag: 751.David Richards in captaining the first fifteen for the third consecutive season, created a post war (1914-18) record. Cartoon by Jack Jones of Swansea's 11 - 3 historic win over New Zealand at St Helen's on 28th September 1935. It was presented to the club by Peter James, son of Bob James, who was Chairman of the Swansea and District Supporters' Club for many years during the 1930s. A title window in the mount describes this dedication. This is one of three hand drawn versions of the theme by the artist (See OT001 & OT033).

Pennants & Flags

Ball from the Britsh Lions tour to South Africa in 1974, the ball is signed by the whole Lions squad from a tour in which they would go undefeated for the duration of the tour, wnning 21 out of the 22 matches, drawing the final game to South Africa 13-13

Balls

This limited edition hand painted Grogg was made by Grogg artist Hugh Richards in 2009 to celebrate the career of London Welsh, Swansea, Wales, Barbarians and Lion Mervyn Davies. It marks his 8th cap of 38 for Wales, which was the 6 - 6 draw against South Africa at Cardiff Arms Park on 24th January 1970. The set of 38 pieces were all sold and this one was presented to the Swansea RFC memorabilia collection by Swansea club Chairman Stephen Hughes on 23rd September 2019.
