This newspaper article from March 1895 describes the last hours of Swansea forward Dick Burrows following his serious accident in the match against Newport in February. The article covers the sad state of his fiance Miss James as well as the inquest following Dick's death and a biographical sketch of him. He was the first and thankfully, only Swansea player to die directly as a result of an incident in a rugby football match.
