This 'home' jersey from the 2005-06 season was presented to the archive by long time Ospreys and Swansea supporters Keith Davies. Ospreys Rugby returned to winning ways in their second season at the Liberty (now Swansea.com) Stadium. Duncan Jones took over the captaincy from Barry Williams. A successful Celtic League (now sponsored by Magners) campaign saw them emerge Champions for the second time in three seasons with a 24 - 16 win away at Borders in the last match of the season. They recorded 14 wins and 6 losses from 20 matches played. Heineken Cup success again eluded the Ospreys, a return of 2 wins and 4 losses ending their campaign. But there were back to back wins over Llanelli Scarlets, with a 50 - 24 win at Liberty Stadium with a sold-out ground, establishing their predominance in the west. The double was also achieved over the Dragons and a win from two against Cardiff, who were runners-up in the league. Outside of this there was a memorable 24 - 16 win over Australia at Liberty Stadium on 1st November in another sell-out fixture. At the end of a successful season, the Ospreys narrowly lost 41 - 35 to Leicester Tigers in the EDF Energy Anglo-Welsh Cup at Twickenham.
