The assembles guests were entertained with rugby reminiscences centred around the recent Rugby Centenary match played at Rugby School. Two Swansea players, Rowe Harding and Gwillym Michael played in the England/Wales team against an Ireland/Scotland fifteen. Among the guest speakers for the evening was former Wales wing Dr Teddy Morgan, who scored the try that beat the All Blacks in 1905. He now ran a doctor's surgery in the Sketty suburb of Swansea.
