Jersey, B.A.T.S. 1970. Worn by Don Guest (Wing 14). Blue University of California, Berkeley American Football Jersey, football collar lined in white. White cuffs. White "B.A.T.S" printed on left breast. 'Russell Southern' manufacturing logo on back bottom left, made in USA. Player number missing from reverse. Colour run to collar, Number missing from reverse, stitching missing under armpits.

There is not a lot of information about this jersey specifically, however, we know it was worn by Don Guest, a stalwart of rugby in California throuhgout the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s. Don Guest played for the US Eagles and was, according to former B.A.T.S and US Eagles teammate Chip Howard, a 'formidable rugby player'. Guest was a winger who was on the 1967 Olympic Club tour that was the first American rugby team to play in Wales and on the California Poppies tour Wales in 1975 (See: JY144 for more information). Lastly, he scored against Llanelli when the B.A.T.S. toured Wales in 1978.
