This is the badge of the Minor Counties Cricket Association overseeing competition between county sides who are not classified as First Class Counties. Since 2020 the M.C.C.A. is known as the National Counties. The M.C.C.A. formed its first championship competition in 1895. There are 17 First Class Counties including the Welsh county of Glamorganshire and there are 19 Minor Counties competing under the auspices of the M.C.C.A. The second XIs of the First Class Counties compete in the National Counties Championship.
