This plaque commemorates the Swansea RFC match against Newport Beach and Irvine Coast Combined XV on their USA tour of May 1981. The match was won by Swansea by 66 - 7. Gareth Roberts scored four tires, Trevor Cheeseman two and Gareth Jenkins three tries. Arthur Emyr and Alun Donovan also scored tries. Mark Wyatt kicked nine conversions. This was the third of four matches on the tour, which took on sides in San Fransisco, San Diego and Los Angeles.
