This is a photograph of the Swansea Cricket Club's 1st XI taken almost certainly in the 1908 season. The captain was E.W. (Ernest William) Jones, in the last of his three seasons at the helm. The image was composed with the old Pavilion in the background. The personnel in the photograph are as follows:
Back Row L to R): F.E. Perkins [Hon. Secretary], Jack Bancroft, Jimmy Maxwell, H Nicholls (?), H.A. Ellis, Harry Creber, ___?___ [Umpire].
Front Row (L to R): Stanley Rees, Percy Morris, E.W. Jones [capt.], Dr. A.W. Cameron, Billy Bancroft.
All the players had at some time won county honours with Glamorgan County CC, except H Nicholls, who has yet to be positively identified.
