1976-77 season: Played: 42, Won: 34, Lost: 6, Drawn: 2. Pts for: 1179, Against: 321.
With 31 tries, Athletic XV captain John Evans set a new Athletics Team record. Swansea Athletic played two overseas sides this season. On 8th September 1976 they lost to Italy Under 21s at St Helen's by 13 - 18. The Occidental University team from Los Angeles were defeated by Swansea Athletic at St Helen's by 18 - 3 on 24th March 1977. The Athletic also toured to Jersey this season defeating Jersey 2nd XV 44 - 0 on 21st April 1977 and completing the tour with a win over Jersey's 1st XV by an impressive 124 - 0 on 30th April.
