Info

This month's Guest spot features a rugby ball with an incredible story to tell. Now safely in the custody of Skewen RFC, the ball was built out of pieces of army boots by British solder Bill Beynon, who became a prisoner of war to the Japanese in 1943. You can read more about Bill's amazing story and the rugby ball in the news article below. Beynon was a Skewen RFC scrum-half who also played for Swansea RFC between 1946-47 and 1949-48, making 21 appearances. So there is also a direct connection to the All Whites. Our thanks to Barry Davies at Skewen RFC for access to this wonderful Guest Spot item. To find out more about Skewen RFC, visit their website via the link below.
