This jersey was worn by back-row Pedrie Wannenburg in the South Africa v Wales game of June 2004, in Pretoria. Wales were touring both Argentina and South Africa, with the final game of the tour ending in a result of 53 - 18 to South Africa. Before the match Nelson Mandela met Wales’ captain Colin Charvis who introduced Mandela to the Welsh players. Charvis was the first black player to captain a Wales rugby team, a point noted and commended by Mandela.
