This is a postcard of a photograph taken by Swansea photographers A & G Taylors of Swansea. It depicts the Swansea RFC 1st XV in the 1911-12 season. The captain this season was Swansea and Wales scrum-half Dicky Owen, who was given the honour of captaining the side during this his final season. The captaincy was vacated by Swansea and Wales great Billy Trew in recognition of Owen's contribution to Swansea rugby and to Welsh rugby (35 caps). The record for the season was: Played: 35, Won: 19, Drawn: 6, Lost: 10. The personnel in the image are as follows:
