Welsh Slate 'rugby Ball'. Award for induction into the Welsh Rugby Former Players' Hall of Fame (WREX) on 12th June 2014. Awarded to Geoff Wheel.

This special award was made to Geoff Wheel at an event sponsored by Mercedes Benz on 12th June 2014. The first inductions were made in 2002 and in 2014 the event took place in the SWALEC Stadium Cardiff. Eight nominees were inducted that night: Ray Prosser Pontypool), Stuart Watkins and Keith Jarrett (both Newport) Allan Martin (Aberavon) Jeff Wheel (Swansea), Paul Thorburn (Neath), John Devereux (Bridgend) and Stephen Jones (Llanelli). Welsh rugby troubador Max Boyce was also inducted at the end of the evening for his contribution to Welsh rugby over the decades. Geoff Wheel's induction acknowledges his great achievements with the Welsh national team, his 4 Triple Crowns, 2 Grand Slams and 32 Welsh caps between 1974 and 1982.
