This Waterford Crystal wine decanter with dedication plate was presented to Swansea and Wales lock Geoff Wheel to commemorate Wales' Grand slam achievement of 1978 in the Five Nations Championship, the third Grand Slam of the decade and 8th overall. Each player in the Welsh team received an identical presentation. The dedication engraved on the silver plate is attached by a silver chain to the decanter. The dedication reads: "Presented by Welsh Rugby Union to G.A.D. WHEEL. Wales "Grand Slam" Team 1977-78". Geoff Wheel had played in all four matches of the campaign, winning his second Grand Slam.
