This limited edition ceramic plate celebrates Wales' Grand Slam and triple Crown year of 1976 and was presented to Geoff Wheel by the WRU. Wales achieved a second consecutive Five Nations Championship this year and second Grand Slam of the 'seventies, to add to that of 1971. England were beaten at Twickenham by 21-9 and Scotland succumbed 28-6 in Cardiff. A record 34-9 score was amassed against Ireland in Dublin before the French were overcome 19-13 in Cardiff. Wales won the Grand Slam with a record 102 points. Geoff Wheel played in all four matches, winning the first of two Grand Slams and four Triple Crowns in his international career.
