In May 1981, after a successful season and as Welsh Champions, Swansea RFC flew to California for a short tour. They stayed at San Fransisco, Huntingdon Beach and San Diego. They played against a Newport Beach and Irvine Coast Combined XV near Huntingdon, then Old Mission Beach Athletic Club at San Diego. A California "President's XV" on 21st May 1981.This ball was one of the presentation items brought back to St Helen's from the tour. It is not known which team presented it. See also OT013
