Brass Plaque from commemorative clock, Swansea v South Africa

This brass plaque was originally fixed to the front of a clock presented to Swansea forward George Hayward in recognition of his having played in Swansea's 3 - 0 win over South Africa on December 26th 1912 at St Helen's. The clock s not in the club's possession but the plaque was presented by the family of George Hayward. "Presented by the Swansea C&FC to commemorate the football team's victory over the South Africans Xmas 1912. Geo. Hayward, forward."
