The plaque of the Zimbabwe Ruby Union (est: 1890 and 1979). The Rhodesian Rugby Union had existed since 1890. When the nation became Zimbabwe the union was renamed and the Zimbabwe Rugby Union dates from then. The modern emblem is a Sable, which is also the soubrique of the national team. This specially commissioned plaque was presented to Swansea RFC on their tour to Zimbabwe in May 1982.
