This is a Welsh jersey from the 1975 tour to Japan, worn during the first Test match at Hanazono Stadium, Tokyo on 21st September. Wales won the encounter 56 - 12. Geoff Wheel, Trevor Evans and Mervyn Davies from the Swansea club all played in this match, Evans scoring two of the ten tries that day. The second test was played on Osaka three days later and ended 82 - 6 to Wales. This tour was organised in response to Japan's popular tour to Wales two years earlier.
