This is a replica jersey of that worn by Swansea RFC between 1979-80 and 1990-91, a very successful period for the club as the statistical section of this website illustrates. Swansea hit a rich vein of form especially during the early 1980s under the captaincy of Geoff Wheel and then David Richards. These replica jerseys were popular with supporters, the advent of a replica rugby jersey being only a recent feature of the game.
