Info
In 1974 Matamata College in New Zealand toured Wales, the tour being hosted by Swansea RFC. The success of the tour (the college only lost one match) and friendships developed resulted in an invitation being extended to Swansea Schools (SSRU) to tour in tour New Zealand in 1976. In Auckland the SSRU tour was looked after by the Ponsonby club and this jersey was presented to them.
