This is the Wales jersey worn by Swansea forward David 'Dai' Samuel who won two Welsh caps, both against Ireland. On 7th March 1891 Dai made his Welsh debut as did his brother Jack at Stradey Park, Llanelli in a 6 - 4 win over Ireland. Dai was one of six Swansea players in the Welsh team and he scored the only try, Swansea's Billy Bancroft converting and dropping a goal. The Samuel brothers made few appearances for Swansea
