This newscutting from the Cambrian of Friday 19th May 1876 p8 is informative in that it describes the state of the new ground after the cricket club's Annual Athletics, held there for the first time and prior to an important fundraiser against a United South of England XI on 25th to 27th May, featuring the famous W G Grace.
