Swansea Bay in 1838, showing the portion of Colonel Morgan’s land (highlighted) that would later become St Helen’s Cricket and Football Ground. The Bancroft’s cottage is lower left within this highlighted section. Further left is the future Recreation Ground and to the right (east) is the portion that Chambers enquired about in August 1872.
