Medal, brass triangular with chain loop at top. Blue enamel with brass relief design - Swan sitting in water. S.S.R.L. underlined at top. Circa 1920s. Back is blank.

This is a Swansea Schools Rugby League (SSRL) medal from the 1920s. The original owner is not known. It is often confused with the Swansea 'Swans' association football club, due to the Swan motif. But the SSRL also used this popular Swansea motif, as can be seen on the schoolboy caps. see CP011, CP013, CP015 and CP042.
