Abstract

This letter was received by Swansea RFC to commemorate the centenary of having defeated South Africa at St Helen's on 26 December 1912 by 3 points to nil. Swansea forward D.J. Thomas scored the winning try in appaulingly wet conditions. Former Swansea and Wales captain Richard Moriarty was entrusted with enquiring if the SARFU would like to acknowledge the centenary of a famous Swansea win and this letter, dated 18 February 2013, was the kind response.
