Abstract
This photograph of the Swansea RFC 1First Fifteen for 1893-94 is the only known example. It was donated to Swansea RFC by the family of Tom Russell in July 2007. Tom Russell was a Swansea forward from 1890-91 to 1894-95 and played 73 matches for the club, 63 of those with the First Fifteen. A fmaily member has placed a small cross in pencil above russell's head in the original. The photograph having suffered some damage before arriving at Swansea RFC, a digital copy has been made to allow a clearer view of the players. Swansea RFC in 1893-94: Played:35, Won: 16, Drawn: 8, Lost: 11. Points for:213, Against: 131.
