Abstract

This is a photograph of the New Zealand touring team of 1963-1964. They played Swansea at St Helen's on 14th December 1963, winning the match 16 - 9. The match is recalled as "Dai Parkhouse's Match". Full-back Parkhouse scored all swansea's points (2 penalties and a drop goal) in a match where he was badly injured and treated more than once on the pitch for head injuries, having to be brought around on one occasion by trainer Dickie Dobbs.
