Abstract
Swansea RFC first fifteen in the 1924-1925 season. P: 37, W: 16, D: 4, L: 17, Pts for: 330, ag: 337. Swansea played host the the second All Blacks at St Helen's on 27th September 1924. Expectation was high following a close 3 - 4 loss to the first New Zealand team in 1905. But Swansea were in their Golden Era then. In this match they were beaten 3 - 39, Dai Parker kicking Swansea's only points. The All Blacks went on to complete the tour unbeaten and were thus the "Invincibles" team, one of the best ever to tour. Back Row L to R: Bert Palmer, E C Perkins(Hon, Secretary), A Parker, E Beynon, J Howells, T Mabbett, B Jones, D Parker, F Rees, R Dowdle (Trainer). 2nd Row L to R: Dr. Bertram, R Davies, D Burns, J H John (captain), E A H Jones, J E Watkins, S Phillips, B Barter. Front Row L to R: T Hopkins, W R Smith.
