Abstract
A rugby team photographed at the Mumbles End of the grandstand at St Helen's ground, Swansea. The identity of the team is not confirmed. Photograph taken around 1895-1905. This is a rare view of the west elevation of the grandstand at St Helen's as most team photos taken by the grandstand were in front of the east (Town End) elevation. The grandstand was extended in 1891 to upgrade an earlier one erected 1882 and was itself replaced in 1929. Photograph by Osmund C Vanston of Bryn Y Mor, Swansea.
